Robert A. Mason - Biography

One of just a handful of Certified Elder Law Attorneys in North Carolina and Georgia, Bob has 19 years experience in elder law issues, estate planning, asset protection and family-owned businesses. Although he prefers a small firm environment, much of his experience is in very large law firm settings. A native of Nebraska, he graduated from Northwestern University in 1975 and Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in 1988.

Bob is the Vice Chair and Legislative Chair of the Executive Council of the State Bar Association's Elder Law Section, is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Georgia State Bar, the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is a past member of the Executive Council of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section.

Bob is involved in various community affairs, including the Hospice of Randolph County Board of Directors (Chairman), Randolph County End of Life Coalition, and Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensboro. He is past vice-president and secretary-treasurer of the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce, and a past member of the board of the Randolph Hospital Community Health Foundation. Bob and his family live in Asheboro.
